Get to Know Me

Hello and Welcome to my website!

I am Alice, a Registered Dietitian with over 10 years clinical dietetic experience in the NHS and in the private sector.

I live in Surrey, UK with my husband, my daughter, Tom (the cat) and Scooby (the dog).

After spending many years purchasing raw ingredients for food companies both in Italy and in the UK, I decided it was time for me to deepen my interest in human nutrition.

Since a very young age, I have always been fascinated by science and the human body. This, together with my Italian background and its food culture, led me to train as a dietitian.

Supporting and empowering my clients to manage their medical conditions effectively with dietary manipulations and seeing their health improving significantly is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job.

She took the time to make a personalised plan and explained the science behind it, which helped me make healthy choices.

I would not hesitate to recommend her to family and friends."

  • I've worked with a nutritionist before and it didn't help. How is this different?
As a registered dietitian, I offer more than just basic nutritional advice. Unlike general nutritionists, who may not have the same comprehensive training and medical expertise, I provide evidence-based solutions tailored to your individual lifestyle and health needs. My goal is to create achievable and effective diets that are grounded in solid research and designed to support your overall well-being.
  • Are you basically going to just tell me to eat more and eat healthier?
No. As a dietitian who has seen patients with all kinds of conditions and goals, I know that there is so much more to consider when treating a patient. With my Gain Weight, the Healthy Way package, we'll identify every barrier that is preventing you from achieving a healthier weight. This includes lifestyle factors such as stress, sleep, and family life, as well as potential medical conditions that may not have been identified or treated properly. I don't just provide advice, I provide a strategy to achieve your healthy weight.
  • What if I have too many dietary restrictions to gain weight?
I have worked with patients with severe dietary restrictions in the past. Although it can be challenging, there are always strategies to achieve a healthy weight. By broadening our spectrum of tolerable foods and with proper symptom management, we can create a diet that is nutritious, maintainable, and enjoyable.
  • What if I'm too busy to cook all the time or plan my meals?
As a working mother, I know that prepping and planning can take an enormous toll. That's why I work with my clients to come up with achievable, realistic strategies for weight gain which don't require much more effort than you would normally put into your normal eating habits. There are plenty of avenues to achieve your goals without becoming a full-time chef.
  • What can I expect during my initial consultation?
In your initial consultation, we'll talk about you and what you want to achieve. I'll learn your about your lifestyle, preferences and any conditions you may have so that I can create a dietary solution suited to you as an individual.
  • What are your credentials?
I'm a registered dietitian with Health Care and Professional Council and a member of the British Dietetic Association. I have over 10 years of experience in both the public and private health sectors.
  • What's the difference between a dietitian and a nutritionist?
Dietitians are more extensively trained and regulated and can work in clinical settings providing medical nutrition therapy. Nutritionists, while they can offer valuable guidance, may not have standardized qualifications, making it important to verify their credentials before working with them.
  • Can I use my insurance to cover the cost of the consultation?
Yes, I currently accept patients from BUPA, Aviva, Nuffield and Axa. If you wish to book with your insurance company please e-mail me with your membership number and pre-authorisation code provided by your insurance.
